AS Roma secured their first Serie A away win since they last beat Udinese in April. They fought back 2-1 on two penalties, their first back-to-back league victories since September.

They did not suffer from that away illness in the beginning of the first half. New signing Devyne Rensch compelled Razvan Sava into making a good save from distance.

The game became increasingly exciting after Udinese got involved. After a corner, Thomas Kristensen responded quickly and tried to shoot at goal, but Mile Svilar dived to his right and made an incredible save.

They finally scored eight minutes later from the player who was most likely to do so, Lorenzo Lucca, who calmly slotted the ball inside after Sandi Lovric's free kick.

Artem Dovbyk believed he had given the Giallorossi the lead at half-time, but his strike was ruled out for offside.

The visitors did not have to wait long to level matters after the break. They were given a penalty four minutes in when Christian Kabasele handled within the box. Lorenzo Pellegrini stepped up and placed the penalty low past Sava.

Udinese soon attempted to retaliate when Martín Payero's close-range shot was saved by Svilar. Shortly afterwards, Niccolo Pisilli forced Sava to make a good save from distance.

The match swung Roma's way shortly after the hour when they were given another penalty, and this time Sava was at fault.
Dovbyk was a different player, but the result was the same as he scored low into the corner to change the game.

Udinese tried hard in the final quarter of the game but lost for the seventh time in 13 league matches and the ninth time at home in 12 games to their opponent.

And for Roma, they overcame the midweek loss to AZ Alkmaar to break a 13-match away winless sequence in Serie A, although both sides are still in mid-table.
