The Morocco draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) took place in Rabat on Monday.
The entire groups are as below.
One of the top seeds, Algeria has apparently been given the easiest group with Group E as Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan will be their opponents.
Nigeria has Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania in Group C, which should be a tough one.
Ivory Coast begin the defence of their Africa Cup of Nations crown against Mozambique. Hosts in 2025, Morocco open the tournament on December 21st with a match against the Comoros Islands in Rabat.
Winners of the previous tournament on home turf 12 months ago, Ivory Coast are placed in Group F with five-time champions Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique.
Morocco top Group A, as do they also face Mali and Zambia.
Egypt and South Africa are pitted against each other in Group B, reviving the competition that began in 1996.
The 24-team tournament is made up of six opening groups in the initial round. Two best-placed teams from each group and four best third-placed teams will be added to the remaining 16.
It will be staged in six Moroccan cities between December 21, 2025, and January 18, 2026.
